Axia Audio has released a new version of iProbe, the software suite
that lets users remotely manage, update, and maintain Axia IP-Audio
networks.
iProbe software gives Axia administrators complete information about
and control over their IP-Audio network. Running from a PC connected to
the Axia network, iProbe lets admins manage and maintain large groups of
audio devices from a single control panel. Upon installation, iProbe
queries every audio device on the network, compiling information about
IP addresses, software versions and more.
iProbe features include an Auto-Documentation feature that records
configuration settings for every networked Axia device, an a firmware
manager that automatically acquires and uploads new device software, a
backup utility that archives device configurations, and a powerful
control panel that puts individual device configuration pages one mouse
click away.
iProbe Version 1.1.3 includes support for PCs with multiple NICs,
enhanced hostname displays, support for Axia IP-Audio Drivers for Linux
and Mac (beta), and other enhancements. iProbe works with any Axia
IP-Audio network, and runs on any PC running Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
Registered users can download v1.1.3 for free from

Axia IP-Audio allows broadcasters to quickly and easily build audio
networks using switched Ethernet to connect a few rooms, or an entire
facility. Axia networks have a total system capacity of more than 10,000
audio streams, and can carry hundreds of digital stereo channels over a
single CAT-6 cable, eliminating much of the cost normally associated
with wiring labor and infrastructure. Axia radio consoles are installed
in over 2,000 studios worldwide.
